THE TUSCALOOSA NEWS - January 8, 1965
Waldo H. Deason, Sr., 73, of 1809 Queen City Avenue, Tuscaloosa, died Thursday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Birmingham following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Spigener-Brown Chapel with the Rev. J.D. Hicks and the Rev. John L. Mouchette officiating. Burial will be in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park.

Mr. Deason was a retired decorator and was a member of Local 367.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Byron Taylor of Oakland, N.J.; two sons, Waldo H. Deason, Jr., of Fayetteville, NC and William T. Deason of Tuscaloosa; a sister, Mrs. Lenora D. Brewster of Birmingham; two brothers, Dr. Virgil Deason of Logan, West Virginia and Carl T. Deason of Northport, and nine grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Charles Turnipseed, Mack Hunt, W.C. Beck, Jimmy Farley, John Freeman and Raiford Noland, Jr.
