Elton D. Martin was born March 22, 1926, in Tazewell County, a son of Irvin and Mary Alice Connett Martin. He married Martha J. Landrith. She survives.
Also surviving are one son Jake; daughters, Suzie (Doug) Seibert, Willa (Randy)Welter and Bonnie Bowles; seven grandchildren and two brothers, Ralph and Lloyd.
He was preceded in death by one son and one infant daughter, Valarie Martin in 1960.
He was an World War II Army Air Force veteran.
