He was born Oct. 1, 1928, in Hopedale to Irvin and Mary Alice Connett Martin.
Surviving are two daughters, Vicki (and Bill) Garner of Waynesville and Penny (and Jimmy) Vannoy of Clinton; four sons, Don (and April) of Lincoln, Lloyd Jr. (and Val) of Waynesville, Bradley (and Ingrid) of San Jose and Doug of the state of Ohio; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Ralph (and Verla) of Pekin.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
He served in the Army Air Forces.
He was a truck driver for Shallenberger Excavating and for Red Ball Moving Co. He was a former member of Teamsters Local 627 in Peoria.
He was a member of Eagles Aerie 1869 and a former member of Pekin Moose Lodge 916.
