On August 22, 2004, the Jacob and Susannah Walters Mauk Reunion Association held a dedication of Alexander Mauk's stone. A moving ceremony was performed by the John T. Crawford Camp 43, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, under direction of Commander/Grave Registration Officer Richard Essenwein. The ladies of the Sarah A. Crawford Auxiliary of the John T. Crawford Camp 43, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, laid flowers on the grave.
