Catherine Mauk married John Ulry Lingenfelter in 1835. They had thirteen children. The first three were born in Bedford County, Pennsylvania and the rest were born in Jefferson Co., Pennsylvania. When she died she was laid to rest on the Lingenfelter farm in Oliver Twp., Jefferson County, Pennsylvania. After that farm was strip mined for coal her stone was found in a pile of debris by her Descendants Robert Downs and John Norris Lingenfelter.
Robert Downs took it to Kansas and placed in the Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Wellington, Sumner County next to her son William Johnson Lingenfelter.
