Elmwood, Feb. 28—Mrs. Birdie O. Penn, 80, a lifelong resident of Peoria County, died at 8:10 p.m. Saturday at her home in Oak Hill. She had been ill 3 weeks.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Patterson Funeral Home in Elmwood. The Rev. Howard Welch of Brimfield will officiate. Burial will be in Brimfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday afternoon and evening.
Born in Rosefield Township, Aug 10, 1873, she was the daughter of Simon and Martha Hindle Bower. She was married to Robert J. Penn, Feb. 12, 1896. He died Aug 15, 1952.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Minnie Martzluff, Elmwood; three sons, Lowell, Lawrence and Warner Penn, all of Oak Hill Robert Coulter, Oak Hill, who was reared by Mr. and Mrs. Penn; two sister, Mrs. Susie Coulter, Davenport, Iowa; and Mrs. Laura Walliker, Oak Hill; and four grandchildren.
