HOUSTON - Ruth Atkinson Turner, 96, died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005, at the Magnolia Personal Care Home in Houston. She was born Aug. 27, 1909, in Chickasaw County to the late Sidney Evans Atkinson and the late Jimmie Ada Waldrop Atkinson. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Houston.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Houston with Bro. Walter Goldsmith officiating. Burial will be in Houston Cemetery.
Survivors include her son-in-law, Jack Schuett of Mount Juliet, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Tammy Goodwin of Lake Villa, Ill., and Tim Schuett of Springhill, Tenn.; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Edith Atkinson Walker of Memphis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Jeanine Turner Schuett.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to service time Wednesday.
