YORKTOWN--Richard F. Green, 312 Hollenbeck, died Thursday in Ball Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Green was a lifelong Muncie resident. He worked at Warner Gear Division (now Borg Warner Automotive, Transmission Systems) as an inspector for 31 years, retiring in 1976. He was a member of Moose Lodge 33 and United Auto Workers Local 287.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Hildagard; a son, Richard A. Green, Anderson; four daughters, Phyllis (Mrs. Paul) Vise and Carolyn (Mrs. Jay) Godwin both of Yorktown, Marilyn (Mrs. Larry) Ramey and Beverly (Mrs. Dan) Dalton, both of Yorktown; a brother, Clarence A. Green of Yorktown; three sisters, Florence Glaub and Flora Bullock, both of Muncie, and Edna Mellott, Yorktown; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, two brothers, and two sisters.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Calling at the mortuary will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday.
