She was born to Hildegard and Frank Green of Yorktown on September 12, 1935.
She attended Yorktown schools and graduated in 1953 with most of her original classmates.
As a senior in high school she was hired by Ermel Marsh to work at Marsh Supermarkets with their new IBM Computer System that would control all of the company's needs. The IBM system was the first of its kind to be installed in the mid-west. With the knowledge and experience gained, Phyllis was able to work for Warner Gear, which became Borg Warner and also Ball Corporation.
She is known to her husband and family the most dedicated wife and mother. Her father-in-law was known to say "Whenever I saw Phyllis's girls, I just knew Phyllis was always nearby and watching over them and all those they played with." Phyllis was also the "mother hen" of all the little ones on Ridgeview Drive. Phyllis and her husband Paul Vise had three beautiful young ladies. The oldest, Karen Kay is still with us today. Pamela Jo and Julie Ann went on to wait for the rest of us there. Karen has blessed us with two granddaughters, Stacie Ann and Toni Kay. Stacie and her husband Ryan Davis have blessed the family with a great-granddaughter Zoe Ann and a great-grandson, Logan Paul Ryan. Toni Kay, Zoe Ann and Logan all attend Yorktown Schools. Toni is a senior and Zoe and Logan are in middle school. One granddaughter Megan is waiting there for us in that Heavenly Kingdom prepared for all from the beginning of the world. Phyllis also has a sister, Beverly Dalton and her husband Dan; her brothers, Edy "Carl and Andy Green; her sisters, Marilyn and Carolyn have been taken to the other side with those that have gone before. Phyllis is absent now from her husband Paul of fifty-seven years, who loves her very-very much.
She was a member of Christian Chapel Church and Christ Chapel Church all these many years. She joins family members and friends who watch over us here always to be thought of now and forever more.
