Hildagard Green, 77, died Thursday at her home after a short illness. Mrs. Green was a lifelong resident of Yorktown. She retired from Ross Corner Bakery and had worked for Yorktown Schools.
Survivors include four daughters, Phyllis Vise (husband-Paul) and Carolyn Godwin (husband-Jay), both of Yorktown, and Marilyn Ramey (husband-Larry) and Beverly Dalton (husband-Dan), both of Muncie; a son, Richard A. Green, Anderson; two sisters, Berdina Green (husband-Clarence), Yorktown, and Betty Shaw (husband-Harold), Muncie; two sisters-in-law, Ruby Luce, Muncie, and Juanita Luce, Yorktown; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Richard Green, died in 1992. She was also preceded in death by a son, Carl Green, two brothers, a sister, two granddaughters and a great-granddaughter.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel, with Rev. Chester Justice officiating. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Calling will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.
