James E. Green, 64, Yorktown, was dead on arrival at Ball Hospital Monday.
A Frankfort, Kentucky native, Mr. Green had resided in Delaware County most of his life and had lived in Yorktown for the past 30 years. He had attended Yorktown schools and had been employed as a carpenter and construction worker. His last employment was with Muncie Gear prior to his retirement in 1968 due to ill health. He attended the Yorktown Nazarene Church.
His survivors include his wife, Zilpha; three daughters; two brothers, Richard and Clarence, both of Yorktown; five sisters, Mrs. Flora Bullick, Mrs. Pauline Haas, and Mrs. Florence Glaub, all of Muncie, Mrs. Viola Powell and Mrs. Edna Mellott, both of Yorktown; 13 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in Parson Mortuary. Rev. A.F. Hayes and Rev. James R. Hunter will officiate and burial will be in Sunderland Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and prior to services Thursday.
