He was born in Muncie and was a lifetime resident of Delaware County. He worked 40 years for Warner Gear (now Borg-Warner Automotive, Transmission Systems) as a set-up man. He retired in 1975.
Mr. Green attended Christ Chapel Church and was a former member of UAW Local 287 and a member of Warner Gear Sympathy Club.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Larry E. and Rita Green, Yorktown, Donald L. and Sharon Green, Losantville, and Dennis and Shirley Green, Muncie; a sister, Florence Glaube, Muncie; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
His wife of 58 years, Berdina Luce Green, died in April. Three brothers and four sisters are deceased.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel. Burial will be in Yorktown Cemetery.
Calling will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
