Gustav Guse, a life-long resident of town Theresa, died Monday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Gust. He suffered a stroke a year ago that caused paralysis, and during the past few weeks his condition became more critical. He attained the age of 78 years.

The deceased was born in town Theresa April 27, 1858, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Guse. He was married on Nov. 23, 1881, to Miss Louise Schultz, who preceded him in death on July 6, 1931. They spent all of their life on a farm in town Theresa. Since Mr. Guse became ill he lived with his children.

Surviving the deceased are the children, Alfred at home; Adolph in Chicago; Max, of this city; Martin, Fond du Lac; Angela, Mrs. Alfred Pribnow, Horicon; Linda, Mrs. Paul Pribnow, town Theresa. One son preceded the parents in death. Two sisters, Mrs. Henry Schellpfeffer and Mrs. Henry Schlegel, of this city; two brothers, August and Albert Guse, of this city; 16 grandchildren and three great grandchildren also remain.

Last rites will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the Paul Pribnow home to St. Jacobi Lutheran church in town Theresa. The Rev. O. C. Toepel will officiate, and interment will be made in the Kekoskee cemetery.
