M. A. GUSSE DIES AT 74; FUNERAL SET
Martin A. Gusse, 74, Route 2, died at 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. Agnes Hospital following a short illness.

He was born April 19, 1894, in the Town of Theresa, a son of Gustav and Louisa Schultz Gusse. He married Martha B. Derge, May 4, 1915, in the Town of Herman, Dodge County.

Mr. Gusse operated an automobile agency in Nenno, then farmed in South Byron, until moving to Fond du Lac in 1924. He had an auto repair shop at 777 S. Military Road for many years and for the last 15 years owned and operated the Gusse Rest Home on Highway 151.

He was a member of Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church.

Surviving are his widow, a resident of Maple Manor Nursing Home; three daughters, Mrs. Ervin Kleineschay and Mrs. Charles Kulaga, both of the city, and Mrs. Arden Jordan of Lomira; four sons, Melvin, Rueben and Myron, all of the city, and Harvey of Montrose, S.D.; 23 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, Max Guse of Mayville and two sisters, Mrs.Paul Pribnow of Mayville and Mrs. Alfred Pribnow of Horicon.

He was preceded in death by two infant daughters and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Paul Piotter and the Rev. Harold G. Kromrey officiating. Burial will be in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Candlish Chapel and until 9:30 a.m. Thursdy when the body will be taken to the church.
