Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock for Mrs. Henry Buter, 54, who died in the Lutheran Hospital in Omaha early Monday morning.

Services were held at the Congregational church with Rev. Herbert Pett, pastor of St. John's Lutheran church, in charge. Burial was made in Pleasant Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Buter had been in failing health the past year after undergoing an operation. She was taken to the Lutheran Hospital in Omaha March 29, Easter Sunday, where she died about 2 o'clock Monday morning.

Besides her husband she is survived by a son, Leonard, and a daughter, Mrs. Byron Chambers, both of Dunlap, a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Glenn Buter of Dunlap and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Glenn, killed while on overseas duty at Naples, Italy, Dec. 29, 1947, and a daughter Delphia, who died in childhood.

Mrs. Buter had lived all her life in the Dunlap vicinity. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran church.

Music at the service was furnished by Mrs. Frank Hagan and Mrs. W. L. Reichelt. Arrangements were in charge of the Barrett Funeral Home. The pallbearers were: Charles Hein, Alfred Ohl, Will Hartwig, Jerry Grote, Guy Johnson and Edward Johnson.

Out-of-towners attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Clem Honz, Avoca; Mrs. Nick Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Wight, Mrs. Arch Wight, Dow City; Mr. and Mrs. N. M. Pedersen, Defiance; Mrs. Lester Goodman and Mrs. Chris Madison, Council Bluffs; Mrs. Eddie Rethmeier, Omaha; Mrs. Robert Hansen, Dow City; John Wimmer, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wimmer of Mapleton; Miss Marcella Buter, Council Bluffs.
