Elmo Spore was the only child of Maude (Larrance) b. 1865 in New Boston, Mercer County, Illinois and William Lawrence Spore b. 1860 in Shelbyville, Illinois.) He was the grandson of Louisa Spore and Amanda Alice (Mannon) b. 1845 New Boston, Mercer County, Illinois and Noah Noble Larrence b. 1834 in Indiana.
He married Margery Christine Watson on 6/17/1916. It appears that at least one of Margery's parents were born in Canada? Family history states that he was a druggist clerk in Paonia, Colorado.
WWI draft registration cards show he was drafted on 6/5/1917 from Delta. CO. His draft card states that he was employed by Fruit Exchange State Bank in Paonia, CO as a Bank Clerk.
