MR. WENDEGATZ

Adolph H. Wendegatz, 80, of 111 E. Avenue, Iron Ridge, died Tuesday, March 24, 1981, at his home.

He was born Feb. 18, 1901, in the Town of Herman, a son of the late William and Emilie Justman Wendegatz. On Oct. 6, 1926, he married Viola Beck in the Town of Herman.

Mr. Wendegatz was a farmer for 50 years. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Town of Herman, Highway 33, and a former member of the church school board.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Delmar of West Bend; two daughters, Mrs. Merlin (Darlene) Ernisse of West Bend and Mrs. Arnold (Marilyn) Christian of Route 1, Theresa; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are a brother, Ruben of Mayville; and four sisters, Mrs. Frank (Alice) Muche and Mrs. Leona Geschke both of Mayville, Miss Irene Wendegatz of Beaver Dam and Mrs. Lorinda Benedum of Juneau.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Town of Harman, Highway 33. Pastor Robert Noldan will officiate, and burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Friends of Mr. Wendegatz may call from 4 to 9 pm. Thursday at Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville, and at the church from noon Friday until the time of services.
