Mrs. Lilly Gross, 423 ½ N. Walnut St., passed away Apr 13 at Hillside Unit following failing health. She was 79 years old.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o’colok this afternoon (Thursday) in St.John’s Lutheran church, with the Rev. Robert L. Meyer officiating. Visitation was held at the Koepsell Funeral Home Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. and at the church Thursday from noon until the time of service. Burial will be in Zum Kripplein Christi cemetery, town Herman.

Mrs. Gross, nee Wendegatz, was born Sept 10, 1895 in town Herman, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Wendegatz. On Apr 16, 1916, she married Ernst Gross in town Herman and he died in 1939.

Survivors include four sisters; Mrs. Frank Muche, Mayville, R. 1, Mrs. Harry Geschke, this city, Mrs. Lorinda Benedum, Juneau, Miss Irene Wendegatz, Beaver Dam; two brothers, Ruben, this city, and Adolph, Mayville R. 1; and two grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Gross was preceded in death by one son, Lester in 1954, two brothers and one sister.
