Mrs Annie Irene Agan Mize, 78, New Rosedale Road, Armuchee, died Sunday evening at a Rome health-care center after a long illness.

Mrs. Mize was born in Floyd County, Jan 28, 1907, daughter of the late Hugh David Smith and Leila Oakes Smith. She was a lifelong resident Floyd County. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Mize was preceded in death by her husband, Roy S. Mize, Feb 22, 1959.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Vivian Willerson, Armuchee, and Mrs. Arlice Raymond, Panarama City, Calif., four sons Ernest Agan, Gastonia, N.C., Charles Agan, Dover, Del., John Agan, Rome, and D. L. Agan, Orlando, Fla., a stepson, Harold Mize, Rome, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Bonnie Campbell, Wheeling, W.V., four sisters, Mrs. Hazel Hardin, Mrs. Margaret Hardin, Mrs. Julie Sprayberry, and Mrs. Thelma Barber, all of Rome; a brother, Paul Smith, Rome; 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the West Oak Chapel of Youngblood and Jennings Funeral Home with Parnick Jennings, Sr., officiating. Internment will be at Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbears are Bobby Sprayberry, Doyle Sprayberry, David Cromer, Don Smith, Gene Agan and Billy Hardin.
