Mrs. Julie Sprayberry, 86, of 33 Krannert Drive, died Thursday at her residence after a long illness.
Mrs. Sprayberry was born in Floyd County, Oct. 2, 1909, daughter of Hugh Smith and Leila Oaks Smith. She was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Virgil Sprayberry, Feb. 22, 1957.
Survivors include; six daughters, Mary Jo Momon, Dorothy Salmon, Mozelle Brownlow, Betty Lee, Margie Tolbert and Sue Williams, all of Rome; five sons, Birrel Sprayberry, Cedar Bluff, Ala., Lafon Sprayberry, Richard Sprayberry, J. R. Sprayberry and Doyle Sprayberry, all of Rome; three sisters, Hazel Hardin, Margaret Hardin and Thelma Agan, all of Rome; a brother, Paul H. Smith, Rome; 41 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pisgah Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Fincher officiating. Interment will be at Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
