Funeral services for Hudon Smith, 51, 101 Lamar St., who died unexpectedly Friday in Pensecola, Fla., were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Shorter Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. Max Tucker, the Rev. W. O. Denson and the Rev. Ralph Henley officiating. Interment was in Mt. Alto Cemetery.
Mr. Smith had been a resident of Rome and Floyd County the greater part of his life and for 14 years was an employee of America Bakeries and two years by Battey State Hospital. At the time of his death he was associated with his brother-in-law, as a brickmason. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Navy.
Jennings Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
