Mr. Smith had been a resident of Rome and Floyd County the greater part of his life and for 14 years was an employee of America Bakeries and two years by Battey State Hospital. At the time of his death he was associated with his brother-in-law, as a brickmason. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Navy.
Jennings Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
