Donald E. Gleim, 77, of Hershey passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2010.
Born October 10, 1932 in Harrisburg, he was a son of the late Quinton A. and Alberta (Doner) Gleim.
He was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War for 2 ½ years and retired from Aero Oil, Highspire, working as a truck driver for 20 years.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years Betty L. (Peters) Gleim, sons, Ronald E., husband of Gail Gleim of Harrisburg and Steven J. Gleim of Palmyra; daughters Diane L. Michael of Coatesville and Sandra D., wife of Darvin Gernert of Fredericksburg; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brothers Elmer Gleim, Joe Gleim, Jim Gleim and Merle Gleim; sisters Helen Wilson and Ruth Koke.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Buse Funeral Home, 2 East Main Street, Hummelstown. Interment, with military honors, will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg. Viewings 7-9 pm Friday and 10-11 am Saturday both at the funeral home.
