Oscar Olson Obituary
Oscar Henry Olson was born June 20, 1886 at Aurora, Nebraska, son of Nels and Carrie Olson. He passed from this life Sept. 1, 1954 at the age of 68 years, two months and 11 days.

When still a child he moved with his parents to a homestead near Elsie, Nebr. Where he resided until his marriage to Bina Johanna Oman of Brady, Nebr. On December 30, 1908 in North Platte, Nebr. They moved to a farm of their own near Elsie.

To this union were born five children: Ruby McQueen and Henry Olson of Elsie, Nebraska; John Olson of Madrid, Nebraska; Glen Olson of Ridgecrest, California; and Elmer Olson of Lincoln, Nebraska.

He is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Ida Petersen of California and one brother, Harold of Eugene, Missouri, 12 grandchildren and other relatives and friends. His sister Ethel Olson died in 1952.

In December 1946 he moved to Madrid where he has since made his home. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bina, just three months ago.

He was confirmed in the Lutheran Church on January 27, 1946 and has been a very faithful member. He was always a very loving husband and father.

Oscar Olson Funeral Services
Funeral services were held last Saturday, September 4th, from the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Madrid for Oscar H. Olson with Rev. Earl Finnigsmier officiating.

Special music was furnished by Mrs. Earl Finnigsmier and Mrs. Alfred Bower. Mrs. Don Gengenbach served as organist. Pallbearers were Lawrence Cox, George Ford, A.A. Johnson, C. E. Law, M. J. McGahan and Gus Johnson. Interment was made at Elsie.

The Bullock-Long Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Out of town relatives attending were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Olson of Eugene, Missouri; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Oman, Mr. and Mrs. Vic Oman, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Craig and family all of Gothenburg; Mrs. Edythe Oman of Brady and Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Petersen of Holyoke, Colorado.
