Eugene Alfred Fletcher, 88, Town of Buena Vista, died at 6 a.m. today at St. Michael's Hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in the Town of Buena Vista. The Rev. Lyndon Viel will officiate. Burial will be held in the Liberty Corners Cemetery in the Town of Buena Vista. Friends may call from 2 p.m. Friday until 11 a.m. Saturday at the Boston Funeral Home and after noon at the church.

Mr. Fletcher was born April 21, 1882, in the Town of Buena Vista, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Fletcher. He attended McKinley School in the Town of Buena Vista. Working as a farmer, Mr. Fletcher resided near his birthplace most of his life.

He married Bessie Pearl Manchester on March 8, 1905, in Stevens Point. She died on April 21, 1969.

Survivors include two sons, Curtis, at home, and Kingsley, Town of Buena Vista; four daughters, Grace, Green Bay, Mrs. Raymond (Florence) Isherwood, Town of Plover, Mrs. Curtis (Eileen) Roe, Des Plaines, IL, and Mrs. James (Marjorie) Morgan, Des Plaines, IL; four brothers, Clair, Almond, and Ward, George and Earl, all of the Town of Buena Vista; two sisters, Mrs. John (Mildred) Dakins, Plover, Mrs. Carroll (Ruth) Gilman, Town of Buena Vista; 19 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Fletcher was preceded in death by two sons, one daughter and one brother.
