Fletcher services
Funeral services for Clair Fletcher, 90, Almond, will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Buena Vista Methodist Church.
Mr. Fletcher died Sunday at St. Michael's Hospital. He was a former assessor, town treasurer and school board treasurer in the town of Buena Vista. The Rev. Edward Ketcham will officiate at the funeral, and burial will take place in Liberty Corners Cemetery in Buena Vista. Friends may call from 4 to 9 this evening at the Goult-Gasperic Funeral Home, Almond.
Mr. Fletcher was born Feb. 5, 1886, in Buena Vista, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Fletcher, Sr. He was married March 25, 1914 in Buena Vista to Fannie Myers. He was a farmer in Buena Vista most of his life, moving to the Almond area 10 years ago. He was a member of the Almond Lions Club.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Howard, Madison; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Zella) Dernbach, Almond, and Mrs. B. Roe (Hazel) Williamson, Reedsburg; three brothers, Ward, George, Jr., and Earl, Buena Vista; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Gilmore, Iola; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, a sister and two sons preceded him in death.
