Last Rites Held For Harry Plaggemeyer
Funeral services for Harry Plaggermeyer, Wormser area rancher who passed away Tuesday of last week at the Veterans hospital in Miles City of a brain tumor, were held Friday afternoon at the Lowry Chapel. Rev. Helmuth Fichtler, pastor of the First Congregational church, officiated.
Music was by Mrs. Ronald McDonnell and Mrs. Ted C. Busha who sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "Abide With Me," with Mrs. Mervin Sell at the organ.
Pallbearers were Larry Plaggemeyer, Bob McComb, David Drivdahl, Martin Dridahl, Tom Plaggemeyer, and Walter Plaggemeyer. Interment was in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mr. Plaggemeyer was born at Wormser Feb. 23, 1909, the son of the late Mr. and Mr.s Bert Plaggemeyer, and ranched there most of his llife.
He graduated from Sweet Grass county high school in 1928 and served in the Army during World War II. He entered the Army Oct. 27, 1942, and was honorably discharged at Camp Polk, La., May 31, 1943.
The deceased was married to Margaret Drivdahl Jan. 3, 1942.
He is survived by his wife, three daughters Judy, Joan and Carol Ann, and one son, Daniel all at the family home; four sisters, Mrs. Robert (Etta) Johnson, Mrs. Chas. (Rena) McComb, and Miss Ellen Plaggemeyer of Big Timber, and Mrs. Howard (Edith) Evenson of Great Falls, and three brothers, Fred, John, and Abe Plaggemeyer, all of Big Timber.
