Nick P. Collins
Mr. Nick P. Collins, 88, of Winona, died February 7, 1999 at Winona Manor Nursing Home of heart failure.
A retired employee of Screw Conveyor Corporation in Winona, he was a member of North Winona Baptist Church. He is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Major Robert Collins.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, at Oliver Chapel with Rev. W.M. Hull officiating and Rev. John L. Walker assisting. Burial was in the Oakwood Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rosa B. Collins of Winona; four daughters, Deanna Kirk of Winona, Linda Pearson of Eupora, Rose Mary Boyette of Grenada, and Amye Alldread of Vaiden; two sons, David Collins of Winona and Bruce Collins of West Monroe, La; one sister, Susie Richards of Huntington, Ind.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Nicholas Collins, Ken Kirk, Ronnie Clardy, Jeff Boyette, Chip Clark and Tyler Alldread.
Honorary pallbearers were Buddy Bacon, Elmo Johnson, Jack Diette, Scott Rodgers, Wayne Howard, Aubrey Boone, Dennis Donahoo, D.W. Clark, Lawrence Braswell, John Basinger, Carlron Parson and Clyde Gibson.
Oliver Funeral Home of Winona was in charge of arrangements.
