Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa B. Collins of Winona will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in Oakwood
Cemetery in Winona. Rev. John L. Walker and Rev. Kenneth Armstrong will officiate the services.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday, from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
Mrs. Collins, 92, died of respiratory failure at Winona Manor in Winona on Friday, November 21. She was born in Montgomery County on December 2, 1921, to the late J. W. and Amy Dale Brookshire. She was a homemaker and loved flowers and spending time with her children,grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a member of North Winona Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her husband, Nick P. Collins; daughter, Linda C. Pearson; grandson, Nicholas Collins; sister, Joyce Mansker; and brothers, J. W. Brookshire Jr. and Bobby Collins.
Mrs. Collins is survived by three daughters, Deanna Kirk (Pete) of Winona, Rosemary Boyette (Jerry) of Carroll County, and Amye Alldread (Gary) of Vaiden; two sons, David W. Collins (Vicki) of Starkville and Bruce Collins (Gail) of West Monroe, LA; son-in-law, John Pearson; eight grandchildren;and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
