Plainville -- Nick Dreiling, 87, died Sunday, July 13, at the Plainville Rural Hospital. He was born in Victoria on March 20, 1893, the son of Peter J. and Dorothy (Bower) Dreiling.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Plainville, and the VFW.

Survivors include his wife Mary, of the home in Plainville; three sons, Virgil, Plainville, Norman, Ellinwood, and Gerald, Liberal; six daughters, Mrs. Thelma Hake, Plainville, Mrs. Viola Bodig, Woodward, Okla., Mrs. Waunita Plante, Plainville, Mrs. Shirley Bollig, Hays, Mrs. Irma Jean Staab, Manhattan, and Mrs. Joyce LaBarge, Hutchinson; one sister, Mrs. Mary Rupp, Columbus, Conn.; 46 grandchildren and 34 great- grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church; Sacred Heart Cemetery with military services at graveside. Friends may call at Mosher's Funeral Home in Plainville, where there will be a parish rosary at 7:30 p.m.
