Mass of Christian Burial for Thelma M. Hake, 78, of Plainville was Saturday, March 3, 2007 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainville with Father Bill Surmeier as celebrant.
She died Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at the Rooks County Health Center in Plainville. She was born August 31, 1928 in Severin, Kansas the daughter of Nick and Mary (Rupp) Dreiling.
She was a long time Plainville resident graduating from Plainville High School. She was a homemaker.
On August 26, 1946 she married Joseph A. Hake in Plainville. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include her sons Bill Hake, Newton; Dean Hake, Hutchinson; Mike Hake, Colby; Jim Hake, Cleveland, Tn.; daughters July Wilson, Hutchinson; Brenda Gilliland, Concordia, Karen Reed, Stockton; sisters Shirley Bollig, Hays; Erma Jean Staab, Manhattan; Joyce LaBarge, Topeka; brothers Norman Dreiling, Ellinwood, Gerald Dreiling, Hoisington; 22 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Donald Joseph; grandson, Toby Hake and six brothers and sisters.
She was a member of the Sacred heart Catholic church, the Ladies Guild, the Daughter of Isabella, the VFW Auxiliary, and was on the board of the Senior Center all in Plainville. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart School and may be sent in care of the Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel, 409 S. Cochran, Plainville, Kansas 67663.
