Grandma Anderson died at her home in Carnegie at 11 o'clock Monday night following a lingering illness. Rev. W.L. Anderson conducted the funeral at the Christian church at 2 o'clock this afternoon and interment was made in the Alfalfa cemetery.
Sarah Lawson was born in South Carolina September 20, 1848, died May 19, 1924, aged 75 years and 8 months. Was married to M.C. Anderson in the state of her birth January 27, 1866. To this union 15 children were born, 13 of whom survive. All of the children of this large family except three now live in or near Carnegie.
The family moved here from Texas in 1905. The husband died in 1915.
The children are: Charles H., Mrs. G.T. Smith of Alfalfa, Mrs. M. Anthony, W.A., T.J., Joe, Mrs. Nettie Fanning, Mrs. M.J. Burge of Fayetteville, Ark., Mrs. Oney Herrold, R.T., Ed of Oklahoma City, and Mrs. J.E. Fast. All of the children except Mrs. Henry Burge attended the funeral.
Mrs. Anderson was converted at the age of 16 and joined the Baptist church. Later she joined the Christian church with her husband, and during her residence here she has been a member of the Christian church of Carnegie.
