Marion B. Waller, 83, of Pelican Rapids, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009, at the Pelican Valley Nursing Home in Pelican Rapids.

She was born Aug. 6, 1925, in Erhard, the daughter of Bennie and Olina (Gilbertson) Jorgenson. She was baptized at Tonseth Lutheran Church and confirmed at Bagstevold Lutheran Church, both in Erhard.

In 1943 Marion graduated from Fergus Falls High School.

After moving to Pelican Rapids, she worked for Anderson Grocery Store for five years.

On April 14, 1947, Marion married John (Petie) Waller, Sr. in Pelican Rapids. Petie and Marion farmed east of Pelican Rapids until 1982, when they moved into town. In 1983, Marion started to work at Karen's Korner for 13 years.

Petie died in June of 1997.

Marion was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid, and Circle. She was active in 4-H, East Side Farmer's Club, and homemakers.

Marion enjoyed hardanger, rosemaling, knitting, and baking. Marion's family was very important to her and she will be remembered for doting on her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Petie; three brothers, Burton Jorgenson, Oscar Jorgenson and Harry Jorgenson; five sisters: Olga Irey, Jo Buck, Alma Ogren, Edna Satter, and Evelyn Knowles.

She is survived by three children, John E. Waller, Jr. of Pelican Rapids, Connie (John) Wood of Detroit Lakes, and Peter H. (Lisa) Waller of Pelican Rapids; six grandchildren, John E. Waller III, Charles S. (Paula) Waller, Emily (Aaron) Guest, Jessica McQueen, Zachary Waller and Ashley Waller; three great-grandchildren, Samantha, Madison and Tyler; two sisters: LaVerne Satter of Pelican Rapids and Helen Salness of Moorhead; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church

Service: 11 a.m. Thursday, at Grace Lutheran Church, Erhard
