Olina was not born in Norway. Her parents, brother and sisters came to America in August 1882 and lived in the Rothsay area for about 4 years. Olina was born during this time. Church records at South Immanuel Church near Rothsay state she was born Jan 29, 1885 and baptized June 7, 1885. Her sponsors were Ole O. Hovland, Nils Hovland, Mari Hovland, Guri Hovland.
