Oscar Jorgenson was born Oct. 2, 1904, in Erhard, the son of Bennie and Olina (Gilbertson) Jorgenson. He was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Erhard, and attended country school.
On Dec. 22, 1932, he married Rose Thompson in Canada. He farmed until 1966 near Erhard, then did carpenter work for several years. Mr. Jorgenson also worked several years for Park Region Coop, and later for Howard Motz. Mrs. Jorgenson died in 1990. In 1995, he entered the Good Samaritan Center. He enjoyed gardening, especially growing raspberries. He also enjoyed woodworking. He was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church where he was the oldest living member. Oscar was a member of the District No.17 County School Board near Erhard, and the Erhard Elevator Board.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rose; a grandson, Bruce; two brothers; and five sisters.

Visitation: Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church

Service: 2 p.m. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church, Erhard
