Roy H. Caslow

GLEN ROCK - Roy H. Caslow, 83, of Glen Rock RR 2, died at 2:25 p.m. Thursday at The Brethren Home in New Oxford. He was the husband of the late Erma A. (Senft) Caslow.
The service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Jacob's (Stone) Church, Glenville RR 2. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewings will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Geiple Funeral Home Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church.
Mr. Caslow was born August 4, 1913, in Codorus Township. He was the son of the late John P. and Lizzie (Kraber) Caslow.
He was an assembler at the former AMF Union Machinery division in Glen Rock, retiring in 1978 after 37 years of service. He was a member of the United Church of Christ congregation of St. Jacob's (Stone) Church and its Sunday School and served as treasurer of the cemetery association. He also bred and raised beagles, played alto horn for 25 years with the Brodbecks Band and was a member of International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers Lodge 1738, York and Adams County Beagle Club, Triangle Hunting Club in Haneyville and American Association of Retired Persons Jefferson Chapter 3699.
Mr. Caslow is survived by a son, Jerry L. Caslow of Glen Rock RR 2; two daughters, Ruth Ann Engel and Barbara C. Sanbower, both of Walkersville, Md.; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; three step-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Romaine Caslow of Shrewsbury and Elizabeth Sweitzer of Dover.
Officiating at the service will be his pastor, the Rev. George O. Butz, assisted by the Rev. Richard C. Weaver.
