ELIZABETH CITY - Matilda Ann Midgett Etheridge, 87, of Ehringhaus St., died Jan. 27, 1989 in a nursing home. Mrs. Etheridge was a native of Waves, was the widow of Benjamin F. Etheridge and was a Methodist.
Survivors include two daughters: Jean E. Matron of Elizabeth City and Phyllis F. Burnett of Norfolk; two sisters: Sarah Midgette of Waves and Irma Austin of Hatteras; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Twiford's Memorial Chapel by the Rev. Jan Leffers. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Cemetery.
