He was born to Frank and Weltha Bringard on February 7, 1932 in Panguitch, Utah. He grew up with 12 sisters and 3 brothers, some of which have gone before him.
He married Beryl Rae (Bonnie) Cahoon on January 13, 1951. Together they are blessed with four children: Connie, Allen, Austin and Tina. Sam and Bonnie loved them all and are proud of their many accomplishments.
Sam was truly the "real deal" when it came to being the singing cowboy. He was at much at home with a guitar in his hand as he was in the saddle. Sam had many different jobs throughout the years, but the ones he loved most were the ones where he could be on a horse. He worked for John Wayne at the Red River Cattle Company in Arizona, where he could rope and ride all day. Another job that he loved was herding cows and chasing buffalo on the Henry mountains of Utah.
All his life he worked with leather. He was a master craftsman when it came to hand tooling beautiful designs or cutting and shaping saddles, boots, chaps and more. His work can be found all over the country. No matter what he did, he did it well. His sense of humor will follow the folks that knew him forever. He will be dearly missed.
Samuel is survived by his beloved wife and sweetheart Bonnie, his children Connie (Michael) Adams, Allen (Cecilee) Bringard, Austin (Sharon) Bringard, Tina (Ferl) Chamberlain and Wendy Leavitt. Also his 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, all whom he loved very much.
The family would like to thank all our friends and family for their support. The LDS Enoch First and Midvalley wards for their constant help and love, the EMT's, Sherrif and Police departments and all the kind and caring staff at Valley View Medical Center in Cedar City.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 18, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Enoch First Ward Chapel, 451 East Midvalley Road, Enoch, Utah.
