Obituary: Gainesville, Texas Daily Register, Wednesday, January 14, 2004 Services for Ruth Aldridge, 76, of Gainesville, are set fo 10 a.m. Thursday at the Clement-Keel Chaptel with Bro. Jaypee Bailey of The River Church in Dallas officiating. Burial will follow in New Rest Haven Cemetery under the direction of Clement-Keel Funeral Home of Gainesville. Mrs. Aldridge died Monday, Jan. 12, 2004 at Gainesvilee Memorial Hospital. She was born Aug. 8, 1927 in Myra to Henry E. and Bessie (Scott) Tatum. In January of 1942, she married Earl Glenn Aldridge in Gainesville. She was a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church. She was the owner and operator of Aldridge Book Keeping, worked for Cummings Bookkeeping for more than 20 years and owned and operated the Tiny Dinner Cafe on North Commerce Street. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Elaine (Aldridge) and Dennis Head of Dallas; sons and daughters-in-law, Earl and Gerrie Aldridge of Gainesville, Don and Debbie Aldridge of Gainesville, Gary and Melody Aldridge of West Palm Beach, Fla.; 24 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Billie Tatum of Fort Worth, and Jack and Annette Tatum of Corsicana; and sister, Betty Lou Johnson of Garland. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, brother, Earl Tatum (should be "Ed"); and sister, Maggie Acker. Pallbearers are Tony Cirotto, Justin Greer, Glenn Aldridge, Bob Janes, Bryant Floyd, and Bryan Aldridge. Honorary pallbearers are Earl Aldridge, Jr., Webb, Tatum, Tommy Tatum, Dave Hall, and Brett Hall. The visitation will be at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
