Funeral Services for M.L. Cain of Durant Held Sunday

M.L. Cain, 57, U.S. Postal Service employee, died Friday at District Two Hospital in Durant.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, August 4, Chapel in Durant with the Rev. Ed McDaniel, assisted by the Reverend Gene McNeer, officiating. Interment was in Mizpah Cemetery.

Mr. Cain was a native of Attala County, a son of John Cain and Allie Aldy.

He was a veteran of World War II, and a member of the First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sibyl Thomas Cain; two sons, Murray L. Cain and John D. Cain, both of Durant; three sisters, Mrs. Dena Gunter of Durant, Mrs. Johnnie Burrell and Mrs. Nina Jenkins, both of Sallis; one brother, Jimmy Cain of Durant; three half-brothers, Roger Cain of Durant Floyd Cain of Sallis and Truitt Cain of Kosciusko.

Pallbearers were Claude Jennings, Johnny Toten, Bennie Killebrew, Billy Stonestreet, Son Taylor, and Jack Dickerson.

Honorary pallbearers were Postal employees and Richard Smith.
