Funeral services for Jimmie Burrell Cain, 81, of Durant were held Sunday, October 16 at 4 p.m. at Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Durant. Rev. Jerry Bishop assisted by Rev. Ed McDaniel officiated with interment in Mizpah Cemetery in Durant.

Mr. Cain died Friday, October 14 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.

A native of Attala County, he was retired and a member of First Baptist Church in Durant.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eddie Lou Burrell Cain of Durant; one son, Bobby Cain of Picayune; two daughters, Earlene Williams of Houston, Texas and Jimmie Sneed of Memphis, TN; one sister, Nina Jenkins of Sallis; 8 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Duane Wright, Carl Mills, Mike Anderson, Bob Patton, Terry May and David Cain.

Honorary pallbearers were Henry Cain, James Robertson, Thomas Burrell and Hal Jenkins.
