Funeral services for Cicero Carl Cain, 74, were held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 23, from Southern Funeral Chapel in Durant with the Rev. Gene McNeer, the Rev. Thomas Wicker, Rev. R.C. Grey and the Rev. Benton Goodman officiating. Burial was in Mizpah Cemetery.

Mr. Cain died Wednesday at the Mississippi Baptist Hospital in Jackson. He was a farmer and a member of the Nazarene Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Vera Willis Cain; six sons, Henry Cain, Paul Cain, William Cain, Lynn Cain. all of Sallis, Leroy Cain of Winona, and Bailey Cain of Durant; five daughters, Mrs. Thelma Martin, Vidalia, La„ Mrs. Euphie Dickerson of Farriday, La., Mrs. Eudora Breland of Natchez, Mrs. Floy Waddell of Mobile, Ala., Mrs. Barbara Burden, Sallis; two brothers, Jimmy Cain, M.L. Cain, both of Durant; three sisters, Mrs. Dena Gunter, Durant, Mrs. Johnny Burrell, Mrs. Nina Jenkins, both of Sallis; 33 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Homer Bishop, T.D. Fielder, Jasper Cain. Troy Cain, Ode Burrell, William Earl Culpepper.

Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Hand, Bennie Killebrew, J.D. Cooper, C.H. Deer, Dr. A.A. Derrick, Clay Aldy and Cephus Dickerson.
