Funeral services for Mrs. John R. Prosser, 74, of Sandersville, who died Sunday March 1st at Baldwin County Hospital were held Monday, March 2 at 2:30pm in Sisters Baptist Church. The church pastor, the Rev. Milton Wood and the Rev. Bill Deakins, a former pastor officiated. Interment followed in Brownwood Cemetery, in Sandersville.

Mrs. Prosser was born July 24, 1895 in Washington County, daughter of the late Robert F. Brooks and the late SeAnne Waller Brooks. Before her marriage to the late John R. Prosser she was Miss Janie Brooks. She was a member of Sisters Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Howard Robinson, Sandersville; sons, Willis Prosser, and Julian Prosser both of Milledgeville and Melvin Prosser, Thomson; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Horace Lord, Sandersville; brother, Silas Brooks, Register; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mayo Funeral Home was in charge.
