Funeral services were held Sunday, April 24, at 3:30 o'clock from Sisters Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Ayers, pastor, officiating.
Interment was in Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville.
Mr. Prosser was a member of Sisters Baptist Church, a retired farmer, a lifelong resident of Washington County. He was born December 20, 1893, the son of the late Alonza Prosser and the late Mrs. Mary Horton Prosser.
Survivors include his wife, the former Miss Janie Brooks; one daughter, Mrs. Howard Robinson of Sandersville; three sons, Julian of Milledgeville, Melvin of Gordon and Willis of Milledgeville; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one brother, Owen Prosser of Statesboro; two sisters, Mrs. J.C. Johnson of Milledgeville and Mrs. Mary L. Horton of Sandersville, a large number of nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Mayo Funeral Home of Sandersville was in charge of arrangements. Nephews were pallbearers.
