Mrs. Edna Robinson Purser, age 89, of Sandersville died on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, in the Heritage Inn of Sandersville.
Funeral services for Mrs. Purser will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 13, in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville with burial in the Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville. Reverend Danny Thomas will officiate.
Mrs. Purser was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late John Prosser and the late Janie Brooks Prosser. She was the wife of the late Howard Wilson Robinson and the late Johnnie Purser. She was a graduate of the Sandersville High School. Mrs. Purser was a homemaker and a retired accountant for the Washington County Regional Medical Center. She was a member of the Sisters Baptist Church where she taught children's Sunday school class for many years.
Survivors are: a daughter, Cindy Robinson Brown and her husband Calvin of Milledgeville; a son, Howard W. Robinson, Jr. and his wife Janice of Milledgeville; four grandchildren, Catherine Jill Robinson Smith, Howard W. Robinson III, Miles Jones, and Haley Jones; four great grandchildren, Dylan Smith, Carson Smith, Bryce Smith, and Aubrey Smith; nephew and nieces, Jesse Prosser, Essie Lundy, Jane Brown, Betty Adams, and Louise Paulk.
The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. on Friday.
The family suggest donations be made to Alzheimer's Research.
