Mildred K. "Midge" Tichacek, 90, of Cashmere, WA, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2010, at Cashmere. She was born on September 15, 1919, at Clinton, OK, to John and Mardie (Tipton) Farmer. She moved to Cashmere in 1924, and graduated from Sunnyslope High School in 1937. Midge married Dave Knowles in 1937, and later married Harry Tichacek in 1956, in Yakima. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and was a Museum Hostess at the Cashmere Museum.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husbands, Dave Knowles and Harry Tichacek; her parents; sister, Carey Cope; and brothers, John, Jess, Bade, Jack, David and Randy Farmer. She is survived by her son, Jack (Beverly) Knowles of Cashmere; grandchildren, Kim (Ray) Miller of Wenatchee, Steve Knowles of Cashmere and Amy Knowles Evans of East Wenatchee; her great-grandchildren, Tim Miller of Wenatchee and Davin and Tanyr Lee of East Wenatchee; her step-daughters, Elaine (Phil) Sorenson of Poulsbo, WA and Sandra Meek of California; step-son, Richard Tichacek of Arizona; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
