Funeral services for August Solien, 75, of 406 11th St., N., Moorhead, were held at 11 yesterday, Tuesday, in Our Saviour's Lutheran Church there, with the Rev. A. R. Molldrem officiating. Mr. Solien passed away Saturday at Moorhead.
He was born Aug. 24, 1896 at Syre. He attended Crookston Business College and the University of Minnesota, and served in World War I.
Following his marriage to Ruby Johnson Sept. 9, 1922, in Moorhead, Mr. Solien was a grain buyer at Averill, Minn. In 1934, he moved to Moorhead and was employed by Bergland Oil Co. until retirement in 1966.
He is survived by his wife, a son, Wallace, Moorhead; and a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Beverly) Paulson, also of Moorhead; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Otto, Twin Valley; Jay Arthur, Valley City, N.D.; and two sisters, Alma and Clara, both of Twin Valley.
