PITTSTON --- Lillian Angeline Gilson, 93, of Smithtown Road, Pittston, died Sunday, November 9, 1997, at Robinson's Health Care Facility, Gardiner.
She was born in Skowhegan on April 23, 1904, the daughter of Fred and Cora (Turcotte) Lessard
Mrs. Gilson was a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Gardiner and the Gray Ladies for many years. She had been employed for many years in area shoe factories.
She was predeceased by her husband, Patrick H. Gilson, who died July 12, 1968, and her brother, Joseph Lessard on February 15, 1996, and her brothers, Alfred Lessard, Edward Lessard and Francis Lessard; her sisters, Evelyn Beckwith, Katherine Price and Betty Greenleaf; and a grandson, Jeffery W. Baker, who died April 29, 1997.
She is survived by her daughter, Lorraine, and her husband, Jake Baker of Pittston; two sisters, Marie Hutchings of Gardiner and Julie Curtis of Gardiner; five grandsons, eight great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be private.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Gardiner.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Gardiner.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Care Center, 156 Dresden Ave., Gardiner.
Arrangements are under the care of Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner.
