GARDINER --- Elizabeth B. Greenleaf, 74, of 64 Townsend Place, Gardiner, died May 15, 1990 at the Kennebec Valley Medical Center, Augusta Division.
She was born in Gardiner, August 21, 1915, the daughter of Fred A. and Cora (Turcotte) Lessard.
A member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Gardiner, she was also a member of the Grey Ladies for many years.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Edmond Lessard and Francis Lessard, and a sister, Katherine Price.
She is survived by her husband, Victor W. Greenleaf of Gardiner; four sons, Victor R. Greenleaf of Litchfield, Daniel R. Greenleaf and Timothy J. Greenleaf, both of West Gardiner; and Francis "Butch" Greenleaf of Richmond; four daughters, Katherine M. Beaulieu of Gardiner, twin daughters, Joan E. Foster of Farmingdale and Jill E. Greenleaf of Gardiner, and Dorothy A. Allen of West Gardiner; two brothers, Alfred "Chick" Lessard of Lewiston, and Joseph Lessard of Gardiner; four sisters, Marie Hutchings and Julie Curtis, both of Gardiner, and Evelyn Beckwith and Lillian Gilson, both of Pittston; 25 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call this evening from 6-8 at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner.
A Mass of Christian burial will be said at 10 a.m., Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gardiner Public Library, c.o. Glenna Nowell, Librarian, 152 Water St., Gardiner, 04345. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery.
