He mustered out of that unit on January 1, 1864 in Natches. The reason given was "to reenlist as Vet". He mustered back in to the same unit on January 2, 1864 "as a veteren". He finally mustered out on July 16, 1865 in Louisville. The reason given was "clear of war".
