COLLINS E. FLUKE
Collins E. Fluke, 82, of 3022 49th St. died of a stroke Sunday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Sevices will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Westover Funeral Home, and burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery.
Mr. Fluke was born in Chariton and lived in Des Moines most of his life. He retired from electrical construction, was an Army veteran of World War II and had been a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a son, Dennis, and a daughter, Catherine Courtney, both of Des Moines; three brothers, James of Des Moines, Robert of Faribault, Minn., and Loren of San Diego; two sisters, Kathryn Sanger of San Diego and Ima Whitlatch of Chariton; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where the family will meet with friends from 7 to 9 p.m Wednesday.
